Garfield Park Master Gardener - Guided Conservatory Tours
2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month @ 11 AM - Included in that days admissions fee
Gnomes on Spring Break
Dates: Friday, March 22 - Sunday, April 7
Times: Tues-Saturday 10 AM - 5 PM | Sundays 1-5 PM
Fee: $6 per person | $14 per family (2 adults max, children under 18 yrs)
This spring break garden gnomes from far and wide will gather at the Conservatory! See this whimsical display of garden gnomes and try to spot them all! This year’s theme is “Gnomes on Spring Break". Contact the staff for information about loaning a gnome to be part of the display.
Snake Snacks
Date: Saturday, April 6th, 2024
Time: 12 pm
Fee: Free with Admission Ages: All
Join our naturalist as she does her weekly feeding of our education corn snakes. Learn all about snakes and how they eat. Snakes are amazingly adapted creatures if you have never seen one eat before!
Gnome & Fairyhouse Workshop
Date: Saturday, April 6th, 2024
Time: 2-3pm
Fee: $12 per person Ages: 4 and up
Join us during our Gnomes on Spring Break Show for some additional magical fun. Bring your creativity and have fun making small gnome and fairy houses and figures out of natural objects. Registration required by March 29th.
Hot glue will be used and parents are asked to supervise or assist their children in using it. Tacky glue will also be available for objects that are able to take longer to set and it is advised to use this with kids when possible.
Jungle Tales

Join us in Blake’s Children’s Garden as we learn about nature through a story reading. After the reading children are encouraged to stay and explore the garden. This program is free and open to anyone wishing to attend. The target age range is 2-8 years old.
Program will be moved into the classroom in case of inclement weather.
Central Indiana Orchid Society - Orchid Show
Dates: Saturday & Sunday, April 20 & 21, 2024
Times: Saturday & Sunday 10 AM - 5 PM
Fee: $6 per person | $14 per family (2 adults max, children under 18 yrs)
This weekend, the Conservatory will be filled with displays of blooming orchids from across the Midwest. Orchids will also be available for sale.

Steep into native plant tea tasting with your friends at the Garfield Park Conservatory.
This program will provide you with an opportunity to learn about some of Indiana's native plants (ones that you can plant in your own backyard!) and how you can make homemade tea from them.
During this learning adventure, we will taste a variety of teas made from the dried leaves of these plants and will even have some tea bags to take home with us!
This experience has been oolong time coming, and we wouldn't want you to kettle for less.

Join the Herb Society of Central Indiana for a fun class on making gifts with herbs, perfect for Mother's Day or anyone else that needs a spring pick-me-up. You will also have the opportunity to learn about herbs you can grow yourself throughout the season. There will be recipes, handouts and herbal snacks. Pre-registration required.
