Take and Explore: WINTER ANIMALS
Date: Saturdays in February
Time: 10:00 - 1:00 pm
Fee: $4 per child Ages: 5-10
Bring the kids to the park to enjoy some time exploring outside and learning about winter. Packets can be picked up at the Conservatory front desk and activities/crafts can be done throughout the park. Packets will be geared towards ages 5-10, but all ages are welcome to participate. Please register 1 spot for each packet needed. Packets can be picked up anytime during program time.

Fee: $7 per person Ages: Adult
Don't miss this opportunity to practice your photography skills in the morning before the Conservatory opens. The Conservatory is full of beautiful spring tulips, daffodils and hyacinths of many colors, plus tropical orchids, palms, ferns and so much more! Each photographer will be allowed one tripod during this event. Pre-registration required. Spaces are limited.

Visit the Garfield Park Conservatory for a much-needed preview of spring! The annual Spring Bulb Show returns this year with an array of colorful spring blooms. From classic favorites to unique hybrids of tulips, hyacinth, and daffodils – your cure to the winter blues is here! Visitors can also stroll through the Conservatory’s tropical plant collection, enjoying waterfalls, orchids, and more.
All visitors must purchase timed-tickets in advance. This will help limit capacity as the health and safety of staff and patrons is a priority. Admissions will be available for purchase online or by phone at 317.327.7183.

Time: 10:00 - 11:00 am
Fee: $4 per child Ages: 2-5
Join us for a fun indoor or outdoor program (weather dependent) where preschoolers and kindergarteners learn about the jungle or local nature! This program includes: stories, games, crafts and outdoor exploration. Registration will be capped at 6 children who can attend with one adult each, to allow for social distancing.
Program may be switched to a hybrid, packet pick-up depending on local restrictions.

Time: 8:30 - 9:30 am
Fee: $5 Ages: 3 and up
Garfield Park, while being an urban park, is also a home to lots of wildlife. Join a park naturalist on a walk through the park in search of birds. Whether you've never been on a bird walk before or consider yourself an expert birder, this this event is open to all. Registration is required. Please remember to wear your walking shoes and bring binoculars if you have them.

Drop by Blake’s Garden to meet one of our resident critters. No registration needed, however participants will need to practice social distance protocols when visiting the garden.

The gnomes are back at the Garfield Park Conservatory! Garden gnomes from far and wide have gathered at the tropical Conservatory for spring break! Come see this year’s display, “Gnomes on the Big Screen” as gnomes put their spin on scenes from classic movies. The Conservatory is the perfect tropical stay-cation!
All visitors must purchase timed-tickets in advance. This will help limit capacity as the health and safety of staff and patrons is a priority. Admissions will be available for purchase online or by phone beginning Friday, February 26 at 10am.
Gnome and Fairy House Workshop
Date: Saturday, March 27
Time: 10:30 - 11:30 am
Fee: $12 Ages: 4-12
Join us as we celebrate our Gnome Away from Home Show! Bring your creativity and have some fun making small gnome and fairy houses and figures out of natural objects. Registration required by March 23rd.
Class participants will have their own work station with craft materials. Hot glue will be used and parents are asked to supervise or assist their children in using it. Each registrant will have their own hot glue gun. The only shared materials will be the natural materials provided to make the gnome and fairy houses.

Get inspired by our gnome display and paint your own ceramic gnome bank to take home. All supplies will be provided. Fee also includes admission for one adult. Registration required.
