Dollar Menu Night

Wednesday, July 8 | 6pm-7ish

Ages: All | Fee: $1

Come meet your neighbors as we harvest, cook, and share a meal from the veggies growing in Blakes' Garden! And yes, it really is just a dollar. Do register online so I know how many we're cooking for! Rescheduled from July 1st because of heat.

Drop by Blake’s Garden to meet one of our resident critters. No registration needed. Program will be held in classroom if weather is inclement.

Fermentation Station: Garlic Paste

Saturday, July 18 | 1-2pm

Ages: 10 and up | $15

​

Live-culture condiments are a hurried cook’s best friend! Ferment organic, locally-grown garlic into a buttery, umami-rich paste that will liven up any dish.

 

Limit 15 participants; pre-registration required. Participants must be comfortable using a knife to chop vegetables.

Learn how to brew a sweet and sparkly pineapple drink from Mexico!

Herbal Harvest

Saturday, August 1 | 10-11:30 am

Ages: 16 and up | $6 per person

Join the Herb Society of Central Indiana for a fun class on making gifts with herbs, perfect for Mother's Day or anyone else that needs a spring pick-me-up. You will also have the opportunity to learn about herbs you can grow yourself throughout the season and flowers that you can grow that are edible. There will be recipes, handouts and herbal snacks. Pre-registration required.

 

Visitor Appreciation Day

Sunday, August 2 | 1-5 pm

Free Admission to the Conservatory

In appreciation of all our wonderful visitors and supporters, admission to the Conservatory is FREE on this day. Enjoy our unique tropical experience, including waterfalls, orchids, animals and more! No registration required.

 

Cactus and Succulent Show
August 7-23, 2026

Mondays Closed, Tues-Sat 10 am - 5 pm, Sun 1-5 pm
$7 per person, $15 per family (2 adults max per family)

 

Come one, come all to the Second Annual Cactus and Succulent Show! We're partnering with several local institutions to bring you a whimsical and creative display of some of the coolest cacti and succulents around town!

Celebrate summer sunshine! We'll learn how plants eat light, and then use the sun to make animal-shaped crayons. Registration required.

Fermentation Station: Hot Sauce and Ketchup

Saturday, August 29 | 1-2 pm

$15 per person | Ages: 10 and up

Live-culture condiments are a hurried cook’s best friend! Fermented hot sauce packs a complex, flavorful taste tailored to your own heat preferences. And fermented ketchup? It takes us back to the sauce’s origin, for a zingy tomato paste that won’t grow mold in the fridge.​​​
